Trying to Trust God in the Valley? Let’s Build Daily Rhythms to Draw Near to Him.

What You Are Feeling Right Now

In the midst of a valley, alongside the current situation, you're also feeling like you’re drowning, run down, beaten down, and feeling like this won’t get better. You miss the “old days” when everything seemed easier and simpler. God feels distant from you and you don't really think things will change.

Where You Are Right Now

  • You wake up every morning dreading the day, you’re anxious about what’s to come that day, you are so discouraged by what the day may entail

  • You’ve tried running to pleasures that don’t satisfy, you rediscover past addictions that tempt you to indulge in them again, you’re isolating yourself from others, you’re going home only to binge eat and mindlessly scroll social media hoping it’ll satisfy.

  • It’s been months to years that you’ve been going through this not knowing when it’ll end.

I've been where you are and know exactly what you're feeling. Though our circumstances may be different, I've felt a deep suffering that I've never experienced before.

You’ve spent every morning wondering if this day will be better. You’ve tried to change the situation and make yourself feel better but it feels like you can’t get out. You’ve tried it all but it never satisfies. You’re wondering how Jesus can truly help the situation. You may even doubt that He really can. You start wondering if your life will always be like this. Hopeless. Empty. Life-sucking. Constant dread. You’re exhausted.

Why You're Not Drawing Near to God in This Season

The 3 big lies you're telling yourself in the midst of your valley season:

  • Problem #1: I don’t have time to spend time with Jesus, but even if I did, it doesn't change anything

  • Problem #2: I can just self-medicate to find comfort

  • Problem #3: Isolating and staying home will help me

These three problems all revolve around the common theme of self-reliance. You think you know what’s best for you but it hasn’t been working.

You think the problem is that you’re too busy to spend time with God, to cling to Jesus, and to draw near to Him. It’s not. It’s your order of priorities and the lack of vision for what this season can do for you.

Here’s the truth: everyone has the same 24 hours, and the time you spend with Jesus truly does matter. In this season especially, what you build and the habits you develop will be revealed later on. So, what are you building?

What You Truly Want

You want to get out of this valley.

But more than that, you want a deep dependence and longing for God that gives you the strength you need to take on each day. A kind of power that gives you confidence and boldness even while this valley is going on. A kind of relationship with God that makes people ask you, “How did you even get through this?”

You want an intimate relationship with God that is unshakeable.

You want to be a walking testimony of how God’s worked in your life. You want to come out on the other side of this valley with more wisdom and obedience than you had coming in.

Why Am I Qualified to Help?

Here’s why I want to help you implement practical rhythms to find your strength in Jesus in the midst of your valley:

  • I’ve walked this path for two whole years fighting to find my comfort and dependence in the Lord

  • I’ve been able to read through the entire Bible while going through the valley, work on my health to glorify God while in the valley, and fight to find freedom from past addictions while in the valley.

  • Following Jesus means everything. The valley is designed for refining and reliance on God. The mountaintop will reveal the work you've done. I want to help you fight for that! Let's suffer well!

This isn’t some nonchalant thing. This is the fight of your life. This valley can be used for God's glory and your good. When life is "good," praise God! When life is unbearable, praise God! Both of those are calls to take action.

Your Next Step: Book a Session

In this one-hour call, we'll talk about your current valley season and then work together to create a plan for you to implement the rythmns of drawing near to God during this season. We'll move from confusion on what it looks like to draw near to God to clarity on how you can personally do it in your own life. This season is the best time to finally get consistent with spending time with God.

This is not a therapy or counseling session as I am not a licensed therapist or counselor. However, I've walked out what it looks like to implement these consistent spiritual rhythms to rely deeply on God in my own valley season. My goal is to help you do the same.

Book a safe, support-first conversation to help you implement daily spiritual rhythms—no pressure, just presence.

I've walked this path—I don’t have all answers, but I know how to help you take steps toward leaning on God during this time.
